Why British Labs?
The breed of British Labradors are unique in many ways. British Labs are shorter and slimmer then American labs making their features stand out more. A female British lab has a weight range from 45 to 60 pounds and the male has a weight range from 50 to 70 pounds.
British Labradors have been bred for centuries to be a calm and relaxed breed. Unlike most other breeds, these labs are calm from from birth. British labradors are a highly intelligent dog as they analyze situations more than other breeds. These highly intelligent labs are also very calm, sweet, and even tempered making them very easy to train with a soft hand. This makes this breed a perfect family dog, as they are calm and loving, but they are also driven in the field for hunting.
Although British Labs are calm they still have the driven attitude when it's time to get down to business to hunt and retrieve. They're hunting machines in the field. They won't give up on a retrieve or trying to flush up upland birds. They know their job and won't quit until they have successfully completed the task.
